I hope everybody is enjoying the holiday. There was a play that our children performed in the Mandarin drama club before we started holiday. This play was based on a very famous Chinese story. It was a story very similar to The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Gan laoshi took a very long time to shoot the film with green screen technology and edited with her own time. Enjoy.
This piece of writing was typed by Teo from 5CV during lunch time. He made a very good paragraph of a friend of him in Pinyin and typed in Chinese on the computer. WELL DONE Teo.

Translation: My friend is called Tom. He is 10 years old. He is in Year 5. He likes Maths, Geography and Science. Tom is Italian. His mum and dad both work. They are scientists. Tom and his family live in Herne Hill, London. He likes Herne Hill. He skates board to the park and school. Tom has a younger brother. His name is Tim. Tom’s hair is not long, but not short. He has big hands and small feet. His nose is big.
We changed our plans for the last three weeks as we really hope our children could had some time to experience Chinese culture. We made 6 choices for Y2, Y4 and Y5 to choose. It went really well with the workshop.
Some Y2 children did treasure hunt. They looked for the notes with the words we learned in pond area and see how many notes they found as a team. They translated the words to get extra points.
Some other classes did origami.
Some classes did Ban Yu Qiu (板羽球).
We had 2MG made a paper Great Wall after knowing the history of the Great Wall of China.
We had our lovely annual Language Day this year. It was so amazing to see our children experience Spanish, French and some different cultures. We were awarded Excellent Reward for International School as we developed our fantastic languages in Rosendale.
We had children played a game that is very similar to badminton.
We had our Y2 did paper folding workshop. After they made some animals, they made their own stories and shared them with their teammates.
